Herbert Paul Brooks. Jr, also know as Herb Brooks. Herb grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. Brooks went to Johnson high school where he played hockey and graduated.
Herb Brooks is now known to be one of the most influential of hockey, he came up with a new type of play which is know as the hybrid form of play. This is the type of play he used to help the 1980 Olympic team beat the USSR, also know as the miracle on ice.
