Players

 The 1980 team had a huge impact on Herb and his coaching style. He picked his team within the 1st day of a one week try out, where he did not pick the best players out there, but he picked the right ones. He picked each player not on their talent, but on their ability to listen to him and to fit into his new style of play. It took a long time for the players to come around to Herbs way of doing things, but they learned if they trusted him that they could do great things. But this went both ways, Herb had to trust in his players to follow him and believe in what he wanted to do and they did just that
